Brandon Christy

Founder & Program Director

Brandon Christy is the Head Varsity Boys Basketball Coach at The Village School in Houston, Texas, where he leads one of the region's premier private-school programs. In 2025, he was named the TABC Large Private School Outstanding Coach of the Year, recognizing his impact on and off the court.

A native of Southern Illinois, Christy was a standout high school player, earning all-state honors before continuing his career at Wabash Valley College, where he emerged as one of the nation's top three-point shooters, ranking among the top 10 in the country in three-point percentage. He went on to earn his degree from Southern Illinois University–Carbondale.

With more than 20 years of coaching experience, Christy has built a reputation for developing disciplined, competitive teams. Before taking over the boys program, he served as an assistant coach for The Village School's girls basketball team, which captured a TAPPS 6A State Championship. His broader coaching background includes previous roles as head varsity coach at Annawan High School and assistant coach at Tuscola High School. Known for his commitment to player development and program culture, he continues to shape the next generation of student-athletes at The Village School.

Off the court, Christy is a devoted husband and father. He and his wife—a national champion cheer and dance coach—share a passion for competition and mentorship, building a family rooted in athletics and a commitment to helping young people succeed.

Justin Hardin

Coach

Justin Hardin, from Georgetown, TX, has a notable history both as a player and a coach. He played two years at Texas State University, where he was part of the 1999 conference championship team. He then played two years at Angelo State, gaining a conference championship and making a national tournament appearance. With 11 years of coaching experience, Hardin has served as an assistant coach at Midwestern State, Sachse HS, and South Garland, and as a head coach at Bastrop HS and Midland HS.

Chuck King

Coach

Charles King is from Southwest Houston, Texas. During his playing career, he earned scholarships to Phoenix College and Arizona Christian University, where he was recognized for his outstanding performances, including all-conference and All-America Honorable Mention honors. Now in his third year of coaching, King is focused on mentoring young athletes, aiming to enhance their skills and instill values that transcend the basketball court.

Kerry Davis Sr.

Coach

Kerry Davis Sr. is from Southern Louisiana and is a highly talented, motivated basketball coach with 5+ years of playing and 10+ years of coaching experience. Post-university, Kerry moved to Houston and began a career as a sports program director, fitness trainer, referee, and coach. Among Kerry's numerous coaching achievements is securing the Greater Houston Catholic Association 2020 Championship.

Jerome Lewis

Coach

Jerome Lewis, originally from Brooklyn, New York, has a rich background in both teaching and basketball coaching. With more than nine years of coaching experience, he has mentored players at multiple levels, including junior high and high school. His coaching philosophy emphasizes not only skill development in basketball but also character building, ensuring his players achieve greatness both on and off the court.

Don Washington

Coach

Donterria Washington is a dedicated basketball coach and former player from Natchitoches, Louisiana. Coach Don began his coaching career with the Natchitoches Hot Shots, an AAU basketball team. In 2015, he gained experience as a game official, officiating basketball games across the city. His coaching journey took a significant turn in 2021 when he joined forces with Coach Brandon Christy at the PSB organization. Here, he has been coaching the varsity and eighth-grade teams, now entering their third year together. Coach Don is committed to elevating his teams to their highest potential, both on and off the court.
