Effective September 21, 2026. This policy explains what information University of Hoops collects, how we use it, and the choices you have.

Who we are

University of Hoops is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit youth basketball program based in Katy, Texas. Questions about this policy can be sent to info@universityofhoops.org.

Information we collect

• Parent or guardian contact details you give us: name, email address, and phone number.
• Player details you give us for tryouts, teams, camps, and training: name, grade or age group, and similar program information.
• Messages you send us through our website forms, email, or text.
• Basic technical information your browser shares when you visit our site, such as device and browser type.

Payments for registrations and deposits are processed by our payment and registration providers (such as Stripe and TeamSnap). We do not store your full card number.

How we use your information

• To answer your questions and messages.
• To run tryouts, team offers, registration, camps, and training.
• To send schedules, reminders, and program updates.
• To send news about upcoming programs by email, and by text only if you agreed to receive texts.

Text messages

If you check the text message consent box on one of our forms, we may text the phone number you provide about tryouts, schedules, registration, and program updates. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to any message to opt out, or HELP for help. Agreeing to texts is never required to register or take part in our programs.

No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging opt-in data and consent are not shared with any third parties. The only exception is the service providers that deliver our messages on our behalf, who may use this information solely to provide that service.

Email

If you join our email list or agree to receive emails, we will send program news and announcements. Every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link.

How we share information

We do not sell or rent your personal information. We share it only with:

• Service providers that help us run the program, such as our customer messaging platform (HighLevel / LeadConnector), our registration platform (TeamSnap), and our payment processor (Stripe). They may use your information only to provide services to us.
• Tournament and circuit organizers when needed to register a team for an event.
• Authorities, when required by law.

Children's privacy

Our forms are meant to be completed by a parent or guardian. We do not knowingly collect personal information online directly from children under 13, and we send our messages to parents and guardians, not to players under 18. If you believe a child has sent us information directly, contact us and we will delete it.

Keeping and protecting information

We keep information as long as needed to run our programs and meet legal requirements, and we use reasonable safeguards to protect it. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure.

Your choices

• Reply STOP to any text to stop text messages.
• Use the unsubscribe link in any marketing email.
• Email info@universityofhoops.org to see, correct, or delete the information we have about you or your player.

Changes

We may update this policy. The effective date at the top shows when it last changed.
